Inpatient care
Vascular neurosurgery

Cerebral vascular malformations, aneurysms, microsurgical procedures

The Department of Vascular Neurosurgery was founded in March, 2012, still our doctors serve our patients on the basis of decades of neurosurgical practice. Neurosurgeons of our department have long and extensive experience in treating complex neurosurgical cases, including vascular neurosurgical cases (brain aneurysms, cerebral and spinal cord vascular malformations, angiomas, cavernomas, fistulas and brain hemorrhages). The number of complex vascular neurosurgical cases managed and operated by some of our leading neurosurgeons is uniquely large. Our doctors have participated in several world wide international scientific studies, serving as basic references of present neurosurgical knowledge and forming everyday care, such as EC-IC Bypass Study, International Study of Unruptured Intracranial Aneurysms (ISUIA). The Department of Vascular Neurosurgery is managing vascular neurosurgical cases by working closely together with our Stroke Department and our Department of Interventional Neuroradiology in order to offer the best management options for these complex cases and achieve the best care for each of our patients.
