Inpatient care
Brain tumor management, surgery of benign and malignant brain tumors, stereotactic brain tumor biopsy, stereotactic radiosurgery are the main profile of our center. The treated pathologies include low grade gliomas, high grade gliomas, glioblastomas, meningiomas, neurinomas, brain metastasises.
Our Neuro-Oncology Department has 14 beds, with 4 board certified neurosurgeons. Two of them have clinical oncology board certificate as well. We have access to radiosurgical sites (gamma knife and LINAC), where our specialists perform the stereotactic radiosurgical treatments. We have also the possibility of in house PET-CT scans besides CT and MR scanning.

We perform about 300 brain tumor operations, 100 stereotactic biopsies, 450 radiosurgical procedures, per year.
Oncological, neuro-oncological therapy is individually planned when all clinical data, and histology are available. Further treatments are determined in our multidisciplinary Onco-Team. Regular clinical and neuroradiological follow up of our operated brain tumor patients, as well as chemotherapry, is arranged in our out outpatient clinic, where we have more than 4000 appointments, per year.
Teaching and post-gradual education in the fields of neurosurgery and neuro-onclogy are also an important part of our acitivity.

Due to our visiting policies the relatives of our patients are able to visit daily. However, visiting hours are closed during patient care, treatments and examinations. In the interest of quick recovery, we ask that you not visit your relatives during quiet hours, and that when possible only two people visit at a time. more...
